SBK 22 The Official Videogame Review - The Final Verdict

Watch Reviews GamingBolt Video: SBK 22 The Official Videogame Review - The Final Verdict.
SBK 22 is an interesting return for a franchise that’s been gone for so many years, as it seems to combine the gameplay from Milestone’s other motorcycle racing games with the simulation focus and structure of other racers on the market, specifically the F1 series. Unfortunately, this all puts SBK 22 in an odd, underbaked place. Its lack of content outside of the so-so career mode means that there isn’t much content to see. Its gameplay is highly rewarding at very specific moments of success, but the time to get there can be frustratingly long and slow.

It’s a beautiful game and one that gets that much more fun when you’re that much better, but for anyone who isn’t a superfan of the sport, there are other games on the market that might cater better to your tastes without the same learning curve and tedium. It’s not a bad game by any stretch, but its lack of deep content and steep learning curve make it difficult to recommend to the casual racing fan.

As long as you're calibrating your expectations, you're likely to have a blast with Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. It looks sharp, the combat is a lot of fun, and the story, for all of its issues, has its bright spots, especially if you're invested in the Final Fantasy 7 universe. Sure, crucial aspects of the experience have clearly not aged very well, but there's still more than enough here to attract not only those who've played the original

In its current early access, Overwatch 2 has a lot going for it. There are a lot of good things, especially for those who care about the core gameplay. But there are some negatives, whether it's aspects of monetization, the UI, or progression. This is a new beginning, for better or worse. A lot hinges on the future PvE content, how Blizzard addresses and balancing concerns, whether future Battle Passes offer a decent slate of rewards, the appeal of li

Splatoon 3 is the most content-packed this series has ever been at launch, and the most confident step forward it has ever put. Eventually a time will come when Splatoon has to deliver a new game that actually mixes up the formula. But for now, there is nothing else like Splatoon, and more of it is always a good thing. Splatoon 3 has its issues, but at its core, it is a rousingly enjoyable game that you will very much like if you were a fan the first

Deathverse: Let It Die Review - The Final Verdict

Deathverse: Let It Die is a solid game in this overcrowded market of battle royale games. SuperTrick has created a fairly decent combat system that strikes a good balance between accessibility and depth, and the gameplay loop is also enjoyable with varied levels allowing for different strategies. But everything surrounding that core gameplay loop - such as additional game modes and the ability to queue for certain maps are missing from the game at the

Ultimately, NHL 23 feels best suited to series newcomers. It’s a solid release, with a wealth of fresh animations and finetuned AI delivering a more authentic experience but it’s likely to feel like DLC rather than a new game to players of last year’s edition.

MOONSCARS Review - The Final Verdict

Moonscars is not a roguelike game; it is, however, a game that fits pretty much every other descriptor I just named. It definitely is at least somewhat Soulslike. It is absolutely an action platform, and very much imbibes a (striking, to be clear) pixel art aesthetic. It is the kind of game that it’s easy to lose track of, but honestly, that would be doing yourself a disservice. Broken down like that on paper, it might feel like one of many dime a doz

After Us doesn't reinvent the wheel in platforming and exploration, but it offers very compelling gameplay in both areas. The abstract art style is vivid and raw - all over the place, at times, but in a good way, while the environmental story-telling (outside of the Memories) is solid. Mild performance hiccups can be annoying, and the combat is mostly fine without being extraordinary. However, if you can face your future failures, it's a somber yet en

The last game in the series to bear the FIFA name is a fittingly unambitious entry. It makes minor changes here and there, but there's not an awful lot to differentiate it from last year's offerings. Thankfully, the on-pitch action is still a hell of a lot of fun.

GamingBolt - Tchia Review - The Final Verdict

In conclusion, Tchia puts a strong first impression with its faithful rendition of a hidden tropical paradise and fun traversal mechanics. But the game quickly tends to devolve into a subpar open world experience complete with all the trappings that come with that description. Boring mission design and repetitive side activities can quickly come together to make this experience a dull time, which is a shame considering that Tchia could have been so mu
